Shayan Fathi

A new artist joins the DG rooster: it's the amazingly talented Iranian drummer and percussionist Shayan Fathi.

Born in 1985 in Teheran, Shayan began playing piano at the age of 8, later drums/percussion at age 10 in Austria, where he quickly created a skillful playing and got a major member in the music scene. Mostly influenced by Latin-American music, he started studying Jazz Drums at the Conservatory of Vienna at the age of 16.

Several times from 2001-2003 he won prizes, such as scholarship for the Drummer’s Collective New York, at Austrian/German/Swiss Drum Contests.

Shayan is an accomplished musician and is currently moving between Madrid / Berlin / Vienna. 

His career achievements to date include more than 50 cd recordings.

Un nuevo artista se úne a la familia DG: el talentoso baterista y percusionista Iraní, Shayan Fathi.

Nacido en 1985 en Teheran, Shayan empezó a tocar el piano con 8 años, y a los 10 batería y percusión ya en Austria, donde desarolló un toque muy hábil y se estableció como una de las figuras más destacadas de la escena musicál. Muy influenciado por la musica Latina, empezó a estudiar batería Jazz en el conservatorio de Viena con 16 años.

En varias ocasiones entre el 2001 y el 2003 ganó premios, como por ejemplo una beca para el Drummer's Collective de Nueva York en un concurso entre bateristas de Austria, Suiza y Alemania.

Shayan es un músico muy preparado y actualmente se mueve entre Madrid, Berlìn y Viena. 

Sus logros incluyen la realización de más de 50 grabaciones.
